This is not a belated April Fool’s gag. Al Franken’s appearance on What the Hack with Adam Levin was nominated for a 2023 Webby Award! And yes, we REALLY need your help!

The episode-specific category was for “featured guest” and if we do say so ourselves it is probably the best podcast ever made. “Al Franken Holds a Mock Senate Hearing on Privacy with Siri and Alexa” features the voice talents of Franken, SNL Alum Laraine Newman and Susan Bennett (the real Siri) in a mock Big Tech takedown. The trailer for the episode (posted below) won a gold AVA award earlier this year. It was produced by WTH co-host Beau Friedlander, and featured illustrations by Travis Millard and an animation directed by Toddy Stewart and created by Stephen Bones Productions.

Voting for the Webby Awards is open until April 20th, so if you like the show, please take a moment to vote! And really do it, because we’re up against much bigger shows with episodes featuring Stacey Abrams, Cate Blanchett and Barack Obama. Vote! Please? Do it for Al! Do it for Adam. But only do it once, because we don’t want to be disqualified.
